There is an old cliche “May we live in interesting times”. Certainly 2020 was interesting to say the least, in so many way, including how our industry had to adapt to changes in the sales processes. Many consumers simply did not want us in their homes, for fear of the Pandemic, and still others didn’t seem to mind. It varied a great deal. What we learned, in many cases, was the traditional selling process had to adapt to support a different customer experience. A unique perspective in many states and with many customers, who still needed their “Total Comfort System” repaired or replaced, but we could not directly interface in the ways we used to take for granted.
